Brian Batt

Brian Batt’s reminds of early Chuck Close paintings but with a snapshot realism , likes of a nice Polaroid. The pixels resists the viewer to go closer, hence making you feel welcomed but from a distance. A contemporary spawn of pointillism or photo-realism, the paintings are still very classical in it its subject, exploring the daily mundane human lives.
