Kurt Schwitters was a German artist who was born in Hanover, Germany. He worked in multiple genres and media, including Dada, Constructivism, Surrealism, poetry, sound, painting, sculpture, graphic design, typography, and what came to be known as installation art. He is most famous for his collages, called Merz Pictures. He did some breathtaking art interior projects aswell throughout his life but ‘The Merzbau’ stands out. He transformed six rooms, possibly more, of the family house in Hanover, Waldhausenstrasse 5. A truly great modern master.
